hi! My name is Katie D, and I am a freshman here at our high school. graduating class of 2014. I can make more than 3 various annoying sounds by straining my vocal chords! I am also double jointed in both shoulders. I am a very hyper active person and I don’t like to sit still for too long. My main goal in high school is to get better grades than I usually get. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new people in the school year.
I have many goals for my school year here in high school. First I have Mrs. Adams for Geography. She is the most British teacher I have ever had. (I’ve only had one!) She always knows what to do and is a lot of fun. Next I have Ms. Rocca for algebra. She makes it a lot easier for me to understand the work. This is good because I’m not that good at math…. Third I have E.D.A with Mrs. Faulconer. She helps me understand the wiki and helped me make a Gmail account on Google. She also calls us angle potatoes which makes me very happy. Next I have Ms. Stevens for physical education! Every Wednesday and Friday we go to mavericks down the street and do a very hard work out for an hour. On Mondays we take notes. I like this kind of P.E. because it is easier to work on bikes or with real equipment that just running all the time. For fifth period I have senior leaf for Spanish! She takes her time and lets us understand the words better. She will usually repeat them a couple times and use hand motions to help us get it better. Next I have Mr. Duston for biology. His class is very fun with all the experiments we do. He is also a super fan for the Simpsons so that is even better. Last and definitely not least, English, with Mr. Geib. He is an awesome English teacher with an awesome sense of humor! I have him at the end of the day which is good because if I’m having a bad day he can always make it better.
Now I will take some time to talk about my social goals. I have a lot of friends at other schools like my friends Melissa and Alisa. I am doing the best I can to keep in touch but sometimes it can be hard. I’ve made a lot of new friends here too. Some of them are Gwen, Tyler, Winston and Daysi. A lot of my old friends came here with me, like Paris, Ian and Natalie. I’m really glad that all of my new friends and all of my old friends are getting along. I hope we can all stick together throughout the school year.
Next, I have family goals. Of course I have a mom named Liz, a dad named Dana, and a big brother named Chris. My brother and I fight a lot, and I would like to try to change that. Mine and my brothers fighting is very stress full to my mom while she is trying to work so we need to cut it out. My dad is usually gone on business trips so me and my mom have to stay strong while he's away.
